Local housing resources
Colorado Springs Housing Authority (CSHA) manages the five communities listed at https://csha.us/mp-programs/. Each property page gives housing details and an application link. CSHA says the usual requirement to live or work in El Paso County at the time of application does not apply to these five properties; other eligibility rules still apply. CSHA's https://csha.us/ announcement says none of its waiting lists are accepting online-only pre-applications. On 2026-09-28, each of the five linked WaitListCheck pages said "There are no open waiting lists at this time." Property pages still show "Apply Online" links, so confirm the current application route and availability with CSHA or the property rather than assuming the links accept applications. A background check is expressly required on the Kiowa, Pikes Peak, Centennial Plaza and Silverkey property pages, but those pages do not state property-specific conviction exclusions. Rio Grande Village's linked site does not supply a property-specific criminal-history policy. Contact each provider for its current screening criteria.
