Local housing resources
Aurora Housing Authority (AHA) lists its owned and managed communities at https://www.aurorahousing.org/housing/aha-properties. The directory distinguishes income-restricted affordable units (generally rent restricted for eligible households), rent-assisted units (assistance based on household income), and conventional market-rate rentals. AHA's 2026 area-median-income chart is on that page; restrictions vary by property and household size. Check https://www.aurorahousing.org/housing/program-status/ for current lottery and assisted-housing waitlist information. As reviewed 2026-09-28, AHA's FAQ says tenant-based and project-based Housing Choice Voucher waiting lists are closed to new applicants. This does not by itself determine whether an individual affordable property's leasing office can take applications. Property-card availability banners have no update date; confirm vacancies and screening with the property before applying. AHA's directory says applicants may submit a portable tenant screening report no more than 30 days old that meets Colorado's listed requirements. If supplied, AHA says it may not charge an application fee or a fee to access/use that report. The directory does not supply property-specific felony acceptance rules.
