Local housing resources
SICHA's https://sicha.org/Public/HousingAuthorityRentals/ says it manages or owns 18 rental projects throughout southwestern Idaho and accepts applications for them, but its https://sicha.org/Resources/Docs/SICHAProjects.pdf project sheet lists none in Nampa. Do not mistake the 18 regional projects for Nampa apartment buildings. Separately, SICHA's https://sicha.org/Public/Section8RadProjectBasedVouchers/default.htm describes 75 Nampa RAD-PBV duplexes between 16th and 20th avenues North; its https://sicha.org/Public/ProjectBasedVouchers/default.htm lists Canyon Terrace (family) and Golden Glow Tower (62+) as distinct Nampa project-based-voucher communities. Reviewed 2026-09-28. No currently vacant unit has been confirmed. Nampa PBV applications: SICHA links a https://sicha.org/Resources/Docs/PBVPREAPP.pdf for the 75-unit RAD group, https://sicha.org/Resources/Docs/CanyonTerracePreApp.pdf for Canyon Terrace, and https://sicha.org/Resources/Docs/GoldenGlowPreApp.pdf for Golden Glow. Its PBV pages say applications can be sent by fax to (208) 585-9326, by email to pbvwaitlist@sicha.org, by mail or in person at SICHA, 377 Cornell Street, Middleton, ID 83644; office phone (208) 585-9325. That Middleton address is the application office, not a Nampa residence. The pages describe an approximately 2–3-year waitlist and state this is not emergency housing. Ask whether each list is still accepting applications and which unit types are currently offered. PBV screening: SICHA's https://sicha.org/Public/ProjectBasedVouchers/default.htm says reviewers may examine prior federal housing history, criminal background and credit; it does not publish a specific felony acceptance or exclusion rule on these pages. The https://sicha.org/Public/Section8Vouchers/WaitingList.htm tenant-based Housing Choice Voucher list is a different program: it serves multiple counties and does not establish PBV unit availability. Confirm current, written program-specific screening with SICHA.
