HACA AUSTIN PATHWAYS PBRA DIRECTORY REVIEW — HACA https://austinha.org/find-housing/our-pathway-properties/, reviewed September 29, 2026, lists 18 named Austin Pathways communities with 2300 source-profile headline units (NOT confirmed vacancies). The site labels the whole set “Waitlist Applications Closed,” even though cards say bedroom ranges “Available”; that wording is about sizes, not current openings. Pathways are project-based rental assistance (PBRA) homes owned/managed through HACA and rent is discounted based on income/eligibility; they are not the tenant-based Housing Choice Voucher program. Every Pathways property is listed as smoke- and vape-free. HACA's https://austinha.org/helpful-articles/applicants/how-do-i-apply/en/ says ALL of its waitlists are currently closed and describes a RentCafe application during a future open enrollment. https://austinha.org/helpful-articles/applicants/do-i-qualify-for-housing-assistance/en/ says Pathways PBRA eligibility generally requires household income at/below 80% of Austin-area AMI (some homes designated at 30%, 50% or 60%), at least one member with eligible citizenship/immigration status, verified Social Security Numbers for those claiming eligibility, rental and credit history, and criminal-background screening governed by each property's Tenant Selection Plan. Check HACA's current income limits and each property's plan; neither source promises admission for a particular conviction or an available apartment. Existing applicants can check status using https://austinha.org/helpful-articles/voucher-clients/how-to-check-your-housing-waitlist-status/en/. Source cautions: Chalmers Courts covers East, West and South at three separate residence streets and is deliberately unpinned. Rosewood Courts' profile says “Opening Fall 2026,” while Santa Rita Courts is still a redevelopment, with contradictory “Reopening 2028” (table) and “by 2029” (narrative) dates; neither date establishes that a unit is ready. Lakeside's narrative says 163 studio/one-/two-bedroom units while its table says 164 and bedrooms 1–3. Coronado Hills, Salina and some original construction dates also conflict within their own profiles; each record preserves the actual claims. Goodrich Place's original 40 units are historical, while its current headline says 120. See individual source-linked records for features, onsite programs, nearby resources and site details.
