Local housing resources
Home Forward's apartment-community directory (https://www.homeforward.org/apartment-communities/) links to 69 named Portland communities in this reviewed snapshot (September 29, 2026). The linked property pages identify each site's unit types, source-displayed rents, accessibility, income requirements, management, amenities, transit, and contacts where supplied. Some community pages use multi-building street ranges or omit a numbered residence address; those groups are not assigned an invented single map address. A leasing office is not automatically the building's residential address. All Home Forward homes have waitlists according to the directory. The agency's waitlist page (https://www.homeforward.org/waitlists/) contains both an older “Applications are Open!” callout with a September 21 deadline and a separate notice that the 2026 application is now closed. Do not treat the older callout or a property page's undated availability statement as a current opening. Some properties direct applicants to third-party managers and chaku kumtuks haws has its own prescreening form. Check the exact community page and ask its leasing office before applying. Posted rents are source claims, not live offers; some pages repeat floor-plan tables with differing prices. The Home Forward waitlist page says every adult must agree to a criminal background check for its property-based/HCV waitlist process, but it does not grant blanket approval to applicants with a particular conviction. Individual communities may use different managers and eligibility rules. Confirm screening, program category, open intake and accommodations directly with the contact shown on each community's source page. No vacancy, waitlist position, rent, or felony-specific acceptance has been independently verified.
