KEENE HOUSING LINKED DIRECTORY AND SCATTERED SITES — SWANZEY: https://keenehousing.org/apply-for-housing/properties/ advertises MORE THAN 550 owned/managed affordable units throughout Keene and Swanzey, not necessarily all pictured or currently vacant. Its FOURTEEN linked named property pages represent FIFTEEN primary property records here only because the combined Brookbend East/West page explicitly gives two addresses and separate 40/35-unit counts. These fifteen property-page counts sum to 546; do NOT equate that subtotal with the full '550+' agency portfolio. Its additional https://keenehousing.org/scattered-sites/ photo directory identifies 11 Keene and 3 Marlborough address groups with no site-by-site unit counts; do NOT add those as fourteen known units. The linked directory is not the exhaustive agency portfolio described in the https://keenehousing.org/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/KH_TSOP-Plan_2026-.pdf, which names some further programs without individual directory pages. Reviewed September 29, 2026. 1. Evergreen Knoll Apartments (32 units) — Thirty-two two- and three-bedroom family homes at 851 West Swanzey Road, SWANZEY, not Keene city. Page shows 50–60% AMI; the tenant-selection plan also has special USDA Rural Development preference and zero-income rules. Utilities included, on-site laundry, parking, patios, playground and nearby wooded trails. Official page https://keenehousing.org/evergreen-knoll-apartments/ 2. Riverbend Apartments (24 units) — Twenty-four two- and three-bedroom family homes at 836 West Swanzey Road, SWANZEY, not Keene city. Page shows 50–60% AMI. Tenants pay electricity; the 2026 update form says heat and hot water included. Laundry hookups, basement storage, parking and playgrounds. Official page https://keenehousing.org/riverbend-apartments/ Property intake and waiting lists: https://keenehousing.org/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/KH_TSOP-Plan_2026-.pdf Chapter 3 says KH does NOT close property waiting lists, but a list accepting a pre-application is NOT a vacancy. KH keeps separate property lists, while scattered-site applicants select a TOWN, not a specific property. Download the https://keenehousing.org/apply-for-housing/ pre-application and submit to the 831 Court Street, Keene, NH 03431 MAIN OFFICE, by mail or email apply@keenehousing.org; phone 603-352-6161. The KH page also offers a SEPARATE online Housing Choice Voucher application; do not mistake that link for a property application. KH says it responds within ten business days of receiving a completed pre-application and offers application help Tuesdays/Thursdays 1:30–3:30pm or by appointment. Report household/contact changes in writing via https://keenehousing.org/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Pre-application-Update-Form02192026.pdf; property-list wait times vary. The https://keenehousing.org/keene-housing-now-accepting-applications-for-roosevelt-east-apartments/ announced Roosevelt East applications in March 2026 and projected June–August 2026 leasing, not a current vacancy or guaranteed spot in September. Criminal screening and review: https://keenehousing.org/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/KH_TSOP-Plan_2026-.pdf Chapter 4 says KH screens adult applicants for suitability, finances, housing history and criminal activity; it describes rejection for specified felony offenses and serious drug offenses, federally assisted housing methamphetamine manufacture, lifetime sex-offender registration, certain drug-related evictions within THREE years, and a pattern of THREE or more specified misdemeanor convictions within FIVE years. Chapter 4's general FIVE-year suitability-history review DOES NOT state that all felony exclusions expire after five years. Chapter 4 also says applicants may provide context (time elapsed, severity, age, mitigation) and request an informal review of adverse information; discretion is not guaranteed approval. The https://keenehousing.org/apply-for-housing/applicant-faqs/ still links an older 2024 plan, so use the newer 2026 document for policy context and request current written property/program-specific rules from KH. Rents, programs and eligibility: https://keenehousing.org/apply-for-housing/applicant-faqs/ says tenants USUALLY pay around 30% of monthly income, WITH exceptions; it does not quote a fixed rent or make every unit the same subsidy program. Property pages display different income thresholds; the https://keenehousing.org/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/KH_TSOP-Plan_2026-.pdf portfolio table separates project-based vouchers, LIHTC, HUD multifamily and USDA Rural Development rules. No current site-specific vacancy or approved screening result was verified as of September 29, 2026.
