Local rental overview
The City's https://cdnsm5-hosted.civiclive.com/UserFiles/Servers/Server_6481372/File/Departments/CPED/OAH/2022%20OAH/Housing%20and%20Community%20Resources%20List.pdf lists five properties under “Affordable Housing | Located in Davenport” and ten under “Senior Housing | Located in Davenport.” It says the city is not associated with any listed property, provides the list for reference only and asks readers to contact each property about eligibility. Building names, street addresses and phone numbers below are transcribed from page 1; they are historical directory entries, not proof of current operation, affordability, age thresholds, vacancies or application acceptance. Four separate senior properties in Bettendorf are published under that city's page, not Davenport.
Application tips
The https://davenportiowa.com/government/departments/community_economic_development/housing_choice_voucher_office describes Housing Choice Vouchers as non-emergency rental assistance paid to landlords on behalf of eligible households. Its March 2, 2026 scam alert says the Davenport voucher waiting list is CLOSED and applications are NOT being accepted; the housing authority does not charge for a waiting-list application or promise faster placement for a fee, and announces openings on its website and in the Quad City Times. That is a voucher-program notice, not a vacancy or waitlist status for the 15 independently operated listings. The PDF refers renters to https://www.iowahousingsearch.org/, with live assistance at (877) 428-8844, Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–7 p.m. Central (hours printed in the dated PDF; confirm before calling).
Local housing resources
Official directory: https://cdnsm5-hosted.civiclive.com/UserFiles/Servers/Server_6481372/File/Departments/CPED/OAH/2022%20OAH/Housing%20and%20Community%20Resources%20List.pdf, first page. It includes 15 Davenport property names, residential addresses and PDF-era phone numbers; no rates, vacancies, bedroom counts, age minimums or screening rules. The City explicitly disclaims association, guaranteed accuracy and endorsement. The same first page names four Bettendorf senior housing properties and seven housing authorities in other jurisdictions; their administrative office addresses must not be portrayed as Davenport apartment addresses. The City's current https://davenportiowa.com/government/departments/community_economic_development/housing_choice_voucher_office confirms its voucher waiting list is closed as of its March 2, 2026 notice. Iowa rental search: https://www.iowahousingsearch.org/ or the PDF's (877) 428-8844 help line.
The PDF's pages 2–7 reproduce a United Way of the Quad Cities “Community Resources at a Glance” flyer marked updated February 2019. The housing section names Freedom Homes, Humility Homes & Services, and authorities in nearby Illinois, and the shelter section names Humility Homes and Services, King's Harvest Ministries, Salvation Army of the Quad Cities, and Illinois-based Christian Care and Winnie's Place. The last page lists Iowa rent/utility assistance from Community Action of Eastern Iowa and Community Services of Scott County. These are dated referral leads, not rental buildings, active shelter capacity or verified current benefits. For current help, dial 211 or see https://www.unitedwayqc.org/; the City's https://davenportiowa.com/government/departments/community_economic_development/housing_choice_voucher_office currently links Humility Homes and Services (563-499-3081), Salvation Army Family Services (563-324-4808) and Scott County Community Services (563-326-8723). Ask each provider about eligibility and current services.
The first page's “Local Housing Authorities” table also names seven out-of-town agency contacts, not apartment addresses: Cedar Rapids Housing Authority, 101 First Street SE, Cedar Rapids, (319) 286-5872; Housing Agency of Clinton, 215 6th Avenue South, Suite 33, Clinton, printed (563) 324-2011; Eastern Iowa Regional Housing Authority, 7600 Commerce Park, Dubuque, (563) 556-4166; Greater Metro Housing Authority of Rock Island County, 621 17th Avenue, East Moline, IL, (309) 755-4527; Iowa City Housing Authority, 410 East Washington Street, Iowa City, (319) 887-6065; Moline Housing Authority, 4141 11th Avenue A, Moline, IL, (309) 764-1819; and Muscatine Municipal Housing Agency, 215 Sycamore Street, Muscatine, (563) 264-1554. These are PDF-era contact claims, not verified current numbers or Davenport rentals. In particular, the Clinton number is also printed for the unrelated Edge Water on Third row, so confirm it independently before calling.
