SFHA TWO-SITE PUBLIC-HOUSING DIRECTORY — sources reviewed September 29, 2026: https://sfha.org/housing-programs/public-housing; https://sfha.org/housing-programs/waitlist. The current SFHA public-housing program page and waitlist page each name only Plaza East Apartments (1300 Buchanan Street, San Francisco, CA 94115) and North Beach Place (455 Bay Street, San Francisco, CA 94133). These are two public-housing development/site references, not an inventory of all units and not SFHA's separate RAD, project-based voucher or Housing Choice Voucher portfolios. Each has one unverified lead linked here; the development-wide street reference is not geocoded as the entrance for all apartments. SFHA's 2022 public-housing utility schedule https://sfha.org/files/documents/SFHA%20Utility%20Allowance%20-%20Public%20Housing.pdf identifies many Plaza East street ranges and a different North Beach location, but it is a dated utility calculation, NOT a current application list or an instruction to create 21 extra apartments. The public-housing page describes rent as the highest of 30% adjusted monthly income, 10% monthly income, a $25 minimum or property-specific flat rent. This is a formula, not a fixed unit rent. SFHA's waitlist page currently marks Public Housing CLOSED and says the most recent public-housing intake was May 7–21, 2025. Its 1,350 public-housing lottery slots were potential waitlist placements allocated by bedroom size, not housing units or vacancies. It requires a background check and publishes eligibility/exclusion language; read https://sfha.org/housing-programs/waitlist and the https://sfha.org/files/documents/Attachment%20I_SFHA%202026%20Annual%20Plan%20clean.pdf for program scope. Its income-dollar table is expressly the 2025 limits, not a current 2026 price list. General inquiries: SFHA Customer Care (415) 715-5200, https://sfha.org/contact. Confirm the next intake, current income limits, current manager, referral route and written conviction screening before applying. The 2026 SFHA annual plan https://sfha.org/files/documents/Attachment%20I_SFHA%202026%20Annual%20Plan%20clean.pdf describes the two HOPE VI sites as privately owned and managed, in tension with the public-housing webpage's general wording about the department owning/managing public housing. SFHA's March 2026 Plaza East redevelopment request https://sfha.org/about/news-updates/notice-development-opportunity-redevelopment-and-preservation-plaza-east-housing separately names Plaza East Associates L.P. as owner and reports 193 public-housing units with LIHTC financing. Neither that 193-unit total nor the prospective redevelopment constitutes an available apartment or an open application. The supplied public-housing page gives no comparable North Beach Place unit total.
