Local housing resources
LONG BEACH HACLB AFFORDABLE-HOUSING RESOURCE DIRECTORY — https://www.longbeach.gov/haclb/applicants-and-participants/applicants/affordable-housing/; reviewed September 29, 2026. HACLB's “Affordable Housing Resources” page is a referral list with 79 category rows (28 Family, 32 Senior, 19 Disabled & Special Needs). Eight names repeat across categories, leaving 71 unique places; 70 housing entries are linked as unverified leads here. The remaining record, Vista Del Mar Senior Living (3360 Magnolia Ave.; 562.595.1559; website text Vistadelmarsenior.com), is explicitly marked “Board & Care” and is an assisted-living/memory-care service, not an ordinary rental apartment. It remains a resource only. Several leads have address ranges, multiple streets or ambiguous directions and therefore are not mapped to one entrance. HACLB says the listed facilities maintain their own independent waiting lists. A municipal directory row is not a vacancy, an open waitlist or proof of approval for applicants with convictions. Contact each facility using its directory phone for current eligibility, rent, application process and written criminal-history screening. The printed website names are preserved as text, not assumed to be verified application links. See also the City's separately maintained affordable-rental list https://longbeach.gov/lbcd/hn/affordable-rental-housing/affordable-rental-housing-list/; this is another resource, not extra properties imported from this HACLB page. Ownership exception: HACLB's introduction describes the list generally as privately owned, but its Carmelitos Public Housing row is public housing. The Los Angeles County services locator https://locator.lacounty.gov/dcfs/Location/3305768/housing-authority-of-the-county-of-los-angeles---carmelitos-public-housing-development attributes Carmelitos at 1000 Via Wanda to the county housing authority and reports family and senior housing. That locator's project total is not a vacancy feed, and HACLB's contact telephone differs from the locator's general contact. Confirm the current operator and intake route rather than assuming HACLB directly leases it.
