About this property

It was built in 1964 and is named in honor of Alfreda Barnett Duster, the youngest daughter of Reconstruction era activist and journalist Ida B. Wells. Alfreda spent nearly 25 years researching and completing her mother's autobiography Crusade for Justice: The Autobiography of Ida B. Wells.
